Zoom covers travellers up to the age of 85. Those aged between 80-85 years can purchase a policy for a maximum trip duration of 184 days. Travellers 79 years and younger can purchase a policy for a maximum trip duration of 365 days.
Annual multi-trip policies are only available to those under 69 years. If you want to add-on our ski or adventure pack, that's only available to those under 69 too.
No, sorry we try to keep our prices as low as we can and believe that our policies are already competitively priced. Unfortunately, we cannot offer further discount to seniors. You can reduce your premium by increasing the excess on your policy though.
No, Zoom offers a range of travel insurance policies which are all available for anyone aged up to 85 years of age. We don’t have specific travel insurance policy for senior travellers.
If you're 80 years or older, medical benefits are limited to $40,000, the unlimited medical cover does not apply.
A $2,000 excess applies for claims arising from or related to injury or illness. For all other claims the standard excess would apply.
Yes. You are covered up to a combined total of $750 for your golf clubs, golf bag and golf trolley. If you are wanting a higher level of cover for individual golf items or higher combined limit you will need to buy the Golf Pack add on. The Golf Pack add on provides cover for your own Golf equipment (golf clubs, golf bag, golf trolley and golf shoes), Golf Equipment Hire (golf clubs, golf bag, golf trolley and golf shoes), Golf Green Fees and Hole in One cover.
Yes. These items would fall under the luggage benefit if lost, damaged or stolen. The standard terms and per item limit of $750 would apply. Unless the item was added and specified as a High Value Item.
Yes. There is no additional charge for dependants travelling with an insured adult. They receive the same cover for free, however the benefit limits are shared with the adult. Dependants are defined as your own children or grandchildren under the age of 21. If your child or granchild is older than 21 they can still be added to your policy but will be charged as an adult traveller and have their own policy benefits.

Yes, you can still buy a policy with Zoom, even though we don't have medical assessments. We will only exclude claims relating directly or indirectly to a pre-existing medical condition. You would still be insured medically for any new condition that may unexpectedly arise overseas as well as accidental injuries and illnesses.
Zoom provides cover for cancelling your trip prior to departure due to an unforeseen accident, illness or injury of one of your parents, or other close relative. Zoom also provides cover if your trip has started and you need to come home early due to a family emergency. The following conditions apply:
The relative must not be aged 85 or over.
They must live in Australia and be in Australia at the time.
The cover does not include any cover if the injury or illness arose from a known pre-existing medical condition.
