Multiple selections are allowed, please choose as many reasons as necessary.
Emergency Medical Expenses: Includes medical bills and receipts you have paid for and wish to be reimbursed. These expenses relate to emergency medical treatment, including hospitalisation, surgery, doctors, dentists, prescriptions and specialist appointments relating to the emergency.
Trip cancellation: Some policies include cover for trip cancellations due to unforeseen events, like family emergencies, medical issues and natural disasters. Trips cancelled by airlines due to either flight delays or operational reasons are typically covered by the related transport carrier or travel company. For such cases, contact the travel provider first and ask for a refund. Should they decline or partially pay the claim, ask for a ‘Refund Advice Document’, which you will need to supply to us to make a claim.
Additional accommodation and travel expenses: Some policies cover reasonable travel expenses related to alternative transport or accommodation. For example, if an airline delayed your flight due to a volcano ash cloud and you needed to stay in Bali for a few more days.
Luggage & Personal Effects: Some policies cover luggage and personal effects that are stolen, accidentally damaged, or are permanently lost during your journey. We pay the repair cost or value of any luggage and personal effects after depreciation is considered.
Rental Vehicle Excess: Should the rental vehicle you hire from a rental company be involved in an accident, then you may be able to claim for a reimbursement of the insurance excess fees that were payable.
